A voice is a powerful thing! We can use our voice to whisper to protect information from being heard when it is private. We can use our voice to speak truth to guide and encourage others. Most importantly ~ we can use our voice to praise our Savior. When we speak out loud our words of thankfulness and joy, we please God. When we speak out loud to others about our relationship with Jesus, God is able to use us to draw others to Himself. When we speak out loud and tell the truth, God is pleased with us. There are times when we should be quiet (obviously!)… but as often as possible, in as graceful a way as possible – use your voice to point to God.
Romans 15:5-6 New Living Translation (NLT) 5 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. 6 Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Keep in mind that as powerful as our voice can be for good, it can be equally as powerful in negative ways. Do your best to be different in that way! Do not allow yourself to tear down another soul with your words. Be ready at all times to be an example to others of how different a Christ-follower can be!
